	Red Bird Valiant Moderate set of 3" diameter, smooth fruits. WI PE C 87- CV Henry Field 85 If same as the yearbook listing for Valiant, introduced in 1937, adapted to northern US and Canada. A 'Red Bird' was last commercially listed in 1994 by Henry Field Seed Co.

	Red Peach 1½-2" round, red fruits covered with white fuzz on 4½' vines with densely white-hairy leaves; rich-sweet flavor typical of Russian varieties; best tasting 'Angora' type I've grown; very attractive. 	Red Pear 1" pear-shaped sweet and juicy fruits on 4½' vines; produced fruit from early season to frost; perfect snack while weeding garden. Seed originally liberated from Fearrington Gardens along Haw River between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, N.C.
	Red Robin Clusters of 1" diameter red cherry fruits on 6-8" tall plant; heavy producer and excellent as a potted plant; determinate ENGL PA U 00
	Reisetomate Just when you think you've seen it all, a variety like this comes along and knocks you in the head; the fruit is essentially a cluster of 7-14 1¼" plum-shaped cherry tomatoes fused together at the top into a single warty fruit; individual fruitlets can be easily twisted off and eaten singly; trust me, this will be the conversation piece of your garden. 	Richardson Tomato Huge 5" diameter smooth dark pink fruits; very meaty with excellent flavor. TN JO M 00 From Bob Anderson, grown by the Richardson family in Tennessee for many years.
	Riverside Heavy set of 3" diameter, round red fruits; good flavor. NJ CA J 98 Seed from Riverside Farm & Greenhouses, Mt. Bethel, PA, plant grew out of the floor of one of their greenhouses where they weren't growing tomatoes, not known how it got there.
	Roman Candle Spectacular 4x2", smooth, sausage-shaped fruits with screaming yellow skin and white-yellow flesh; very meaty with nice flavor; this is the only pure-yellow sausage-shaped paste tomato I've ever encountered; this variety appeared in the F2 generation of the Speckled Roman tomato offered by John Swenson in the 1999 Yearbook, which itself was a hybrid between Banana Legs and Antique Roman.

	Russian Apple Tree Heavy set of 1½" diameter red round fruits on plants with potato-shaped leaves; good drier. MO DO D 98 SSE TOMATO #2730
	Russian Black 2" dark purple-brown oval fruits on 4' vines; very good flavor but very susceptible to cracking and rot; do not know exact cultivar name Seeds given to me by Dennis Schlicht of Center Point Iowa, who received them from a friend in Oregon.
