Several investment projects took place at the MU Faculty of Science’s Botanical Garden this year.

In May, reconstruction of the tropical plant greenhouse was started, during which the glazing was replaced, the steel structures painted and electrical installation work carried out. The completed greenhouse was then replanted between October and November. Photogallery 1 and photogallery 2.
In November, the construction of a storage tank for rainwater harvesting was completed. Rainwater is pumped into an existing tank in the greenhouse and this is used for watering the plants. This project was co-financed by the European Union’s Cohesion Fund under the Operational Program Environment. Photogallery.
From autumn 2024, MUNI will have enough so-called CORE courses. Therefore, a Common University Courses will be implemented across the entire university under conditions outlined by Pavel Lízal, Vice-Dean for undergraduate education.
Let us introduce the news valid from September: Oral exam only in the presence of three people, verbal evaluation of the course of the state exam or the possibility to have a representative from the faculty management during the non-public part of the resit period of the state exam.
