Like every year, the new semester will be kicked off with several traditional events for new and existing students. One of these formal events is PhD Day, which we regularly organise in cooperation with other faculties for new (and existing) PhD students, but also for students of MSc study programs - i.e. future PhD candidates. This year, the PhD day will take place on 14 September 2022 at 9:00 on the Bohunice campus. In the university library, interested students will be introduced to the offers of individual faculties, an introduction to the rights and obligations of PhD students, an introduction to grant funding opportunities, and answers to any questions students may have.
The organisation of the annual PhD Days has been part of the "Early Stage Researchers" development concept created as part of the faculty's HR Award strategy since 2018.
The main focus of the PhD Day will be two major events setting higher standards for PhD studies at Masaryk University. The first event will be the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between several faculties in the framework of PhD studies.
The follow-up event will be the official presentation of a new development program for the most active students of PhD program - MUNI Mendel Doctorandus. The official announcement of the program will take place at the PhD Day on 14 September, but all information is already available on the website for those interested.
The PhD Day will also present mobility programs, mentoring support for PhD students, and successful participants of the Brno PhD Talent competition will share their experiences.
In the second part of the PhD Day, interested parties will move to the UKB corridor, where the PhD Day will continue with a roll-up section with refreshments. Potential candidates can choose from individual PhD programs or engage with their representatives.
We hope that you are interested in the program and that we will meet in attendance and in large numbers after two years of online presentations.
Remember that you must register for PhD day.
