The French Institute in Prague and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports support international educational exchange programmes and scientific cooperation between French and Czech scientific teams. They provide a scholarship for PhD students in the Cotutelle programme as well as a scholarship for short-term research stays.

Phylogeny and Diversity of Algae and Fungi – this is the name of the course that helped Barbora Chattová win the Rector’s Award for Outstanding Teachers. But it was not so much her expertise that led to her success, but rather her empathetic approach to students.
On October 15, 2024, Daniel Nývlt, head of the Czech Antarctic Research Programme based at the Department of Geography of SCI MUNI, received a state honour from the Republic of Chile for his role in the long-standing excellent cooperation between the Czechia and Chile in Antarctic research.
