Assoc. Prof. Alena Žákovská gave an interview to the iDnes.cz and shared her experience with the current occurrence of ticks in Brno, which she regularly monitors using so-called “flagging”.
The rainy weather that has prevailed in recent weeks provides an ideal environment for ticks. At the end of May in Pisárky, Assoc. Prof. Alena Žákovská counted 60 ticks in just one hour by the “flagging” method.
