This year, the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GACR) will support 23 projects as part of the Junior STAR challenge, two of which go to Masaryk University. One of the supported researchers is our dr. Peter Fabian, who received funding for the Craniofacial Niche Skeletal Stem Cell Analysis project. Peter has been dealing with craniofacial structures for a long time and came to OFIŽ with the idea of developing this topic in September after he returned from a five-year stay in the USA.
JUNIOR STAR grants are intended for excellent researchers within 8 years of obtaining the PhD, who have already published in prestigious international journals and have significant experience abroad. Five-year financial support of up to 25 million CZK will enable them to become scientifically independent and establish their own research group, which can bring new research topics to Czech science.
You can find a list of all supported projects here (in czech only). Congratulations and many scientific successes!
