Echoes from Inaugural Meeting

We are excited to share that the inaugural meeting, held on 28th February in Brno, was a success! Over 30 researchers and students with a keen interest in extracellular vesicles came together to share their insights and expertise. The event featured introductions to various research groups followed by engaging discussions. We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants for their contributions and look forward to reconvening soon for another session.

CzeSEV Becomes an Official Association!

During the inaugural meeting, we took the first step towards establishing CzeSEV as an official association. Now, we are pleased to inform you that the administrative process has been successfully completed, and CzeSEV was officially established as of the end of March. If you are interested in becoming a member of the CzeSEV, please visit our website to access the Bylaws and the Application form and send it to czesev@sci.muni.cz. ASEV-CzeSEV Meeting in September: Save the Date!

Make sure to mark your calendars for the upcoming ASEV-CzeSEV meeting, co-organized by CzeSEV, set to take place in Vienna on 16-17th September this year. We are thrilled to announce keynote speakers, including Marca Wauben (Utrecht University, The Netherlands), Alireza Fazeli (Tartu University, Estonia), Carlos Salomon (University of Queensland, Australia), and Samir El-Andaloussi (Karolinska Institute, Sweden). Registration is now open until 31st May. You can secure your spot by registering through the provided link.

We encourage group leaders to provide an overview of their scientific goals and technologies. Additionally, student members of CzeSEV enjoy complimentary registration, with no requirement for active participation. Join us in Vienna to explore the fundamentals of EVs, engage with cutting-edge presentations, and forge new collaborative connections.

Don't miss also the workshop organized by Beckman Coulter on 18th September, featuring the unveiling of a device – CytoFLEX nano flow cytometr.

MOVE symposium in Belgrade

After last year’s enormous success of the 1st MOVE symposium in Malaga, Spain, we are excited to announce the 2nd MOVE symposium, 08 – 11th October 2024, Belgrade, Serbia. Online registration and abstract submissions will be open from April 22nd to July 31st, 2024. As a benefit for CzeSEV members, the conference fee is set at only 100 EUR (with a reduced rate of 70 EUR for PhD students).  For more updates, please follow the provided link.

Upcoming Lecture by Randy W. Schekman

Don't miss the upcoming lecture by Professor Randy W. Schekman on 18th April in Brno. Professor Schekman, from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will share insights from his research on the mechanism of vesicular traffic in the secretory pathway of eukaryotic cells. Join him for this enlightening session exploring Intercellular transfer of proteins and RNA.
